The Chromebook pixel from Google is the latest laptop from the big company Google. The product is the Google’s first home-made product. The device works on the web-based ‘Chrome OS’

Google have made many laptops with the co-operation of Acer. But this is different it’s Google’s own product as mentioned above. There were many laptops which use the Chrome OS but none of them hit the market yet. Take a look at its specs and features.

Size and Build
The device has an aluminium finished body. The Chrome logo is placed under the display and on the back. The ports include; two USB ports, a headphone jack, SD card slot and an Apple Mini Display port. The device seems as a suit case when looking from side. Its curved opening is similar to the opening of a suitcase.

The light sensing keyboard consist many web shortcut button located at the top. A piano hinge allows the Pixel to be opened with one finger. The speakers are hidden under the keyboard as commonly seen today. The device has a backlit Chrome keyboard.

The device is 64-inch thin and weights 1.52 kg. It has a slim dimension of 297.7 x 224.6 x 16.2mm.

Display
The device has a 12.85-inch 2560 x 1700 touchscreen display. The display is good. The display is higher than MacBook Pro’s Retina Display.

The clarity and contract is a fault. The screen is layered with a Gorilla Glass which resists scratches. This adds strength to the display, and also keeps images clearer than a normal display.

The touchscreen helps to use the web without keyboard. The company has made a fully fledged touchscreen. You cannot see these things while using Windows 8.

Apps
As the OS is based on the web, it is useless without the internet. All the apps need internet connectivity. Google offers a very less amount of apps that works online, but that isn’t enough for use. You can’t take the device where there is no internet access or connectivity. It is one of the main bad that can be seen in Chromebook Pixel.

As seen in all devices today the Chromebook Pixel also has WiFi connection and compatible Bluetooth connectivity. The WiFi featured is; Dual-Band WiFi (802.11abgn). It also includes integrated antennas.

After Words
Google calls the product as ‘what’s next’. It describes both the OS and the device. We can say without any doubt that the device is built for internet. The device costs £1049. The aluminium finish makes it more beautiful.

The stunning design and the hardware make the device the best choice for those who have money to spend for internet.
