Sony RDP-NWC11 : The new lightning Speaker dock

The Japanese firm Sony, the PlayStation maker unveiled their new lightning-friendly docks- Sony RDP-NWC11 that can be used with Apple iPhone 5 and the new iPod.

Sony says that the Japanese company had announced their SRS-GC11IP that sports a 0.8 watt speaker with an alarm clock and FM/AM radio which was reported by a famous website.

The speaker dock doesn’t support common features in today’s mobile such as the Bluetooth 4.0 or WiFi, but it have the ability to support Lightning connector enabling tunes to be played from an iDevice and other smartphones.

As common in every single dock a remote is also included in the dock, which helps you to change settings and tune the device without going to the dock.

A website says that "Whether we'll ever see the as-yet-unpriced tubular peripheral hit other markets, well, that still remains to be seen."

Sony has also unveiled their new audio products including two smartphones and the world’s first 4K OLED TV at Consumer Electronic Show 2013.

One of the main rivals of the device is JBL’s Lightning-friendly speaker docks; the Venue LT and OnBeat Micro which was launched last year.

Hasselblad Lunar : A legend from another legend

The Swedish legendry camera makers-Hasselblad launched their new legend Hasselblad Lunar. It’s Hasselblad’s first consumer snapper that comes as a compact system camera.

Hasselblad is known for its cameras that were used by NASA for their space programmes.

One of the Hasselblad cameras were used in the Apollo 11 lunar mission, but there is one thing that they occupy a space still on the lunar surface. Hasselblad also has a very good history among professional photographers and is a brand that everyone trusts.

Hasselblad's CSC sports a 24.3MP APS-C format CMOS sensor and is bundled with a standard 18-55mm zoom lens.
The camera was first introduced in the Photokina tech show in 2012. The new camera which is based on the Sony NEX-7 hardware uses the same range of lenses as Sony’s NEX range of compound cameras. Although the Sony’s techniques are used the price shows the Hasselblad’s real trademark and it costs around 5,000 Euros.

Size and Build
With a dimension of 142 mm × 82 mm × 70 mm, the lunar cannot be said a compact, when compared to other compound system cameras. This gives the Lunar a professional SLR looks like the Nikon 1 V2.

The Lunar looks so cute and it also have a look that of old style cameras. The camera is available in Brown Tuscan Leather edition and black leather, which have a carbon fire mahogany wooden finish. The Brown Tuscan Leather edition refers to the handgrip and matching strap.

The retro styling top quality snapper makes the Lunar very handsome. The power switch and the video recording buttons are made beautiful by embedding pink-red jewels. And there is no surety about the jewels on the original model.

Controls
The Hasselblad Lunar have controls that’s similar to Sony NEX-7. One of the special uses of some new controls of the Lunar is; they are unmarked and can be used for adjusting various settings depending on the shooting mode. Some of the unmarked dials and buttons make the device more beautiful.

Along with two dials and an unmarked button (plus the power switch and shutter release button) on the top of the camera body, you'll also find a pop-up flash and a hot-shoe adaptor.

A click wheel plus control for playback and flash are fitted on the back panel. A video recording button is also placed on the back panel. On the left edge there is the mini USB and mini HDMI ports.

Screen
The Hasselblad Lunar comes with a 3-inch LCD screen packed with a 920k-dot resolution which can be titled. The screen can be pulled up to 90 degrees upwards and 45 degree downward from the chassis and it makes make a fell like a camcorder.

Not only the opening screen is the amaze, you can also find an electronic viewfinder on the left corner. This is much better and faster than others on rivals. It fires up automatically to a motion sensor.

After Words
Only the sample model of the Hasselblad Lunar is taken for review, but we are not sure that all the features in the sample may not be it the standard ones. We can say that the model is very similar to one of the most excellent compact system camera Sony NEX-7.

The price 5000 Euros may be very high for some but if you need the best compact system camera and if you are ready to spend money for that Hasselblad Lunar will not be a mistake and it promises value for money you have spend.

Pebble SmartWatch : The Smartest watch at present

Pebble smartwatch is known as the smartest smartwatch at present. There is also news that Apple is going to launch their iWatch by the end of this year. The iWatch is heard to have many features such as the 3D mind control. But just as buzz-worthy is the plucky Pebble, a Kick-starter darling that persuaded over 70,000 backers to hand over a cool $10m to bring it to life.

The company had started the watch’s sail in small numbers after long wait. As quoted above it looks like the smartest and fastest smartwatch in the market at present. It’s far above in performance and features than the other smart watches present. The most powerful rivals are Kickstarter, Cookoo, MetaWatch, and Motorola MotoActv . Let’s take a look at the device.

Design
The design of the watch is borrowed from phones and cameras the glossy black rectangular shape which is seen in most of the gadgets today is very common. If strapping one on your wrist feels strange, however, the all-plastic Pebble also comes in white, grey, red and orange finishes.

The pebble has a rubber strap, which is very smooth and seamless. The device is so good for use; it offers the value for money.

The body of the device 10mm thick, it feels so chunky and gives us a sensation that isn’t helped by four oversized side buttons. The body is sturdy and is waterproof up to 5m.

Apps
As it’s only the second week after the Smart watch’s launch, the apps available are fairly low. There are a dozen or so watchfaces to download – the best of which are nicely animated. The thing that makes the watch ‘smart’ rather than just flexible is its ability to pair with smartphones in Bluetooth.
The official iOS and Android apps available for Pebble smartphone at present are the texts, e-mails, tweets and it is able to replace your phone for this uses. Social networking is also easy in the watch and it can be called as a social smartwatch.
Calendar alerts which work on iOS, which are not timers is supported in the watch. There are some problems with the social media usage but they aren’t so big.
Texts show the name of your contact, incoming calls just flash up the number – you can accept or reject the call by hitting a button. There is no option for voice recognition or reply text option for e-mails.
Third party Android applications are limited in the watch, but there are few things for hope that the company promises smartphone GPS enabling.
Screen
E-paper screens are powering the Smartwatch resolution. The dimension is 1.26-inch and the resolution is 144 x 168-pixels. The device’s screen is stunning in daylight as the bursting contrast rocks and allows us to see everything clearly.
To overcome the problems in darker conditions a motion-sensitive                   backlight is used. This feature can be turned off if you feel it so distracted by sporadic flashes of light when moving your arms around.
The device has a very good display and its fine for scrolling text and numerical texts but the analogue display disappoints us as it looks jagged.
The font size of notification can be customized in the smartwatch and the jagging problem can be reduced.
Battery and Power
A USB power cable slips on one side neatly of the watch although no charger is supplied. There is no battery charging or battery full indicator, but the company says it takes one or two hours for full charging.
If the charge is full the power is expected maximum to last up to one week. Although Pebble offers one week battery backup, most probably after three or four days the battery low warning will appear and after a few seconds the device is dead.
If you pair your phone with the Pebble smartwatch, you can clearly feel the difference in your battery. If any phone is paired charge for about an hour is lost.
After Words
Pebble had tried their best to make the device a smartwatch but cannot be said truly a smartwatch. The limited features and hardware problems makes it too buggy.
But we need to consider the point that it is the best smartwatch with the best features and hardware at present. The device can be used for calls and messaging by busy people who have no time to take out mobile and use.
The company starts shipping only now and is very slow. The device costs $ 150. There is no doubt that there will not be any powerful rivals until the launch of Apple iWatch.

Panasonic Lumix GF6; the latest entry level camera from the world’s favourite firm joined the market in May 2013. As I said it’s an entry-level range Compact Camera.

By introducing such an entry-level camera Panasonic aims to fine-tune the main features of each level of its Lumix G Series CSCs to suit their target users more clearly, with the GF6 being aimed at smartphone users who want to share their images instantly.

One of the special features of the camera is it comes with WiFi and NFC on the new camera, for the question why NFC is featured in this camera the company argues that NFC is very common now and many smartphones uses it, with camera.

There are other two cameras from the same maker Panasonic which has NFC and WiFi specification. The two others are the Panasonic TZ40 compact camera and Panasonic GF5.
Let's take a look at the GF6's specs and features

Size and Build
The device looks slightly chunky in the first look, its new fold-out screen make this. But if we look the Lumix GF6 closer we can see the effort made by the company to manage the improved screen without making too much bulk to the camera chassis.

The Panasonic Lumix GF6 is available in both white and black colours.

Features
A new 16 Megapixel Live MOS sensor is sported in the camera; this is high when compared to its older brother Lumix GF5, which’s sensor is 12.1MP.The sensor also has an ISO range that can be extended up to 25600.

The camera has various ranges of filter effects, giving the total to 19. A great feature of the GF6 is some of the basic effects such as monochrome and sepia can be used while shooting in panoramic mode.

The new camera has a feature called food recognition mode, which make the dinner-photographers pleased. This feature targets people who like to take pictures of parties, dinners etc.

The camera also has an extra shooting mode which automatically applies the most suitable settings for the current snap.

An improved burst mode is another feature of the Panasonic GF6; it also had a new function lever for one-hand use. There is also full autofocus on the touch screen, which gives you the freedom to point out from any part of the screen.

Screen
Like camcorders the GF6 sports a screen that can be folded out up to 180 degrees from the camera body. This folding screen is very useful for handy Self portraits and helps shooting in right positions.

The resolution of the camera screen is 1040k-dot. A dedicated video button which records full HD video at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 in AVCHD is also in the camera.

After Words
There are many other features in the camera such as the features of the panoramic shoot. The build in WiFi and NFC are also great with such a camera. The phone is available in two versions with kit lens and twin lens pack.

The device is available in markets from May 2013.The ‘with kit lens costs £499 and the twin lens pack costs £649. The device is a very nice one and the features of the device also make it great.

Facebook launched their new app 'facebook home'

Facebook has taken another step closer towards their today’s most rumoured facebook phone by launching their new Android application ‘facebook home’.  The app was preloaded in an HTC phone first.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg started the conference by joking that “today, we're finally going to talk about that Facebook phone. The meeting was held at a stage in headquarters of facebook in Menlo Park, California.

The application is available for download from 12th April. The ‘facebook home’ is an application that changes the way the user uses on their Android phone, rather than a new operating system. The HTC One will launch in US on April 12, Zuckerberg confirmed that the app will launch on Orange and Europe soon.

Zuckerberg told the ‘facebook home’ has been designed for people to redress the way of interaction with modern computing devices. He also said that for the past 30 years the
computing is done around applications. He told that many people today turn on their computer uses the application they need and shut down.

He asked to the media what they feel if smartphones were designed around people rather than applications. According to Zuckerberg home has been designed from the ground to make people the centre of mobile use.

From the press conference we feel that according to Zuckerberg mobiles are centre of today’s social experience. He says that how you found between meeting and it's easy for you to check out updates in your phone rather than turning on your computer.

Facebook itself is a model for that said Zuckerberg. Totally we can say this is an app form of facebook like the ‘facebook touch’ etc. If you want to see your photos you need only need to open the application.

Zuckerberg said that by unveiling this app he needs to bring all the news updates and know things that happen around world on your phone.

The launcher app runs on top Android phone and below applications, meaning that you can run all your normal Android-based apps onto of Home.

He also gives some clues about the coming soon facebook mobile. He told that the company had considered about launching a facebook phone. He also hinted that facebook doesn’t like to limit its experience will surely try to make a place in the gadget market.

We can say that Zuckerberg is also bothered about what facebook can do in market from his words "Even if we built a really great phone, we might only be able to provide that experience to one or two percent of the total market, at most”

The launcher replaces home screen and Android lock with its Cover-feed. There is also a tab named ‘feature’ that shows full screen photo updates. It’s not clear that if the users will be able to post from the lock screen itself or not.

There is also a Chatheads tab which is an example for Zuckerberg works; putting people in the centre. In the launcher it’s a chat widget, like the facebook messenger for the computers. It appears on the top of the screen. It allows you to quick chat.  The
Chatheads works with both text messages and messenger.

As from the first reports, facebook says that people who use the HTC One, HTC One X, Samsung Galaxy S III and 4, and the Galaxy Note II can download the ‘hom’ launcher from April 12th.

Facebook also announces their plan to partnership with HTC that will see a phone that has the new launcher preloaded launched on April 12th. And the point we need to remember and read with this announcement is that the rumours say that HTC will be the makers of the first facebook phone.
