Panasonic VT50B Smart Viera : The Smart Plasma TV

One of the world’s favorite TV makers Panasonic unveiled their new TV Viera VT50. The TV is available in 50, 55 and 65-inch models. The TV costs around £1,900. Here is a small review of the product.

Menu System
The Panasonic menu system is seen as the best of all but unfortunately the company hasn’t updated the design and layout for a few years. It’s the basic menu when compared to Samsung’s and LG’s menu which is more attractive and user-friendly. It will not affect most of the people, but it is disappointing that such an advanced TV have only a basic menu system.
There are three EPG layouts. They do not offer a choice of info views and number of channels shown on screen.

Design
Panasonic have no history of making stylish designs, this model looks good and is able to fight with its rivals. The TV has a different front design.  Due to the nature of plasma technology, these sets are never going to have the bezel-free look of the latest LG and Samsung LED TVs. The panel depth is just 43mm; the slim TV holds a narrow and beautiful frame by a classy looking chrome strip
The remote has been redesigned. But the button layout and shape remain unchanged. All the keys in the remote are sensibly paced.
Panasonic provides a touchpad controller. The touch pad controller wants to be redesigned to make it user-friendly.
The device has an inbuilt Wi-Fi connection and there's an Ethernet port if you'd prefer to use a wired connection. The rear panels also contain mini-jack inputs as an optical audio output.

Audio
The feels quit as the 80mm woofers are placed into the rear of the device. By this the company succeed to add an extra low-end thump when you're watching a movie, making it sound much bassier than most of its LED rivals.
2D picture
The device gives an awesome 2D experience. Motion clarity is fantastic, achieving levels of smoothness and crispness that most other TVs could only dream of. Fast-paced sports like football and F1 are a pleasure to watch.
Handling of colours seems much better than the old models. Graduations between colours are extremely smooth and natural and hues have a lot of punch, while retaining their warmth and naturalness.
The company says that the VT50's panel is brighter than that used on old models.

3D picture
The Panasonic VT50 ships with 2 pairs of 3D glasses. The glasses are very comfortable to wear and give a good 3D experience. The set's 3D pictures are strong. On the negative side, the dimming effect of the active glasses, and that fact that plasma screens are inherently less bright than LED screens, means 3D images do look quite a lot darker than on the majority of LED sets. That's particularly noticeable if you're watching 3D material during the day.

After Words
We can say the Panasonic TX-P50VT50B is an awesome TV. It offers the features for the price we pay. And has the best picture, audio, design. You will also be able to surf internet using this device. If you want to buy a 50-inch TV VT50 is the best choice. But remember low cost TV’s with more features are available in market. When comparing to other models the price is little high.
