iOS 7 : A closer step towards next iPhone

The computer giant Apple unveiled their new OS; iOS 7 after 7 months of rumours and speculations. Apple CEO Tim Cook said in the introduction that iOS 7 is the biggest change to iOS since the introduction of iPhone. The iOS7 is packed with amazing new features, and a new stunning interface added Tim Cook.

If you look at the history of iOS you will understand the role of iPhone in making changes in the iOS. And the iOS7 is just another example which makes this statement true. Yes it has bought some big changes to Apple since its first arrival in 2007.

As we said, iOS7 has a flat-design, with some features taken from the older-version, we feel it awesome, when we use it, and we can feel that there are many changes from the older versions.
"We wanted to take an experience that people know very well and add to it," I’ve explains in a video shown during the keynote event. "We see iOS 7 as defining an important new direction ... and in many ways, a beginning."

Apple had one change in their software development for the mobile about six months ago, Craig Federighi was that man, and we can see the reflection of the change in the new OS also.

As mentioned above there are only very little changes adopted from the older versions, most of the software had been redesigned.

One of the major changes in the OS is that there have been the multiple pages within folders and the introduction of a today view for notification centre.

A new control centre was also introduced by Apple. This new control centre makes the control centre simpler and quicker, in most of the settings.

The introduction of the revamped multitasking interface is also a major change in the OS. This new set-up is a part of the new Control Centre. Another revolutionary change in the OS is that it doesn’t have icons; instead a preview of the screen is displayed. It is also smart enough to recognise when you use an app a lot during the day – such as Facebook – and devote more power and processing time to it to keep you updated.

There are many other small features which were introduced along with the OS. These apps and features are very useful. These include the flashlight included in the device, Airdrop etc. Airdrop allows you to share photos and files without the use of e-mail or text message.

Other small features include per app VPN, FaceTime audio, and perhaps long overdue, this helps you to block people from calling you on phone or FaceTime or via text message.

Siri also had got improvement; its sound has come almost same to humans in the new iOS. It also becomes smarter and faster- which was a must for Apple, competes with Google’s emerging apps. Siri now supports Twitter, Wikipedia and newly Bing also.

Apple has also given importance to security on the device, enabling enterprise single sign on support for those of you who used your iPhone in the workplace, and a revamp of find my iPhone that locks the device until you sign in with your Apple ID and password are some steps taken by Apple to improve security on their new OS.

By reading this you may get an average image on how the new iOS looks like. Apple had said that the software is under development at the moment and the OS will be released on the end of the year.
